Our Story
Growing up, I spent my days chasing waves up and down the coast, piled into cars overflowing with friends, surfboards, wetsuits, and laughter. We had no stress, no responsibilities, just pure freedom. Surfing was the only thing that mattered.
We didn’t realize it at the time, but surfing would influence every aspect of our lives. Surfing forces you to get in rhythm with nature. It changes how you see the world, helps you sort out what really matters. It teaches patience, presence, creativity, and adaptability. It teaches you to find joy in the simple things - slow mornings, quiet moments, golden hour, good friends, a good laugh.
Seagrass is rooted in that philosophy.
Surfing eventually led us to explore the globe. We set out chasing waves but found more than surf; we discovered new cultures, ideas, and perspectives along the way. We learned that the best part of travel isn’t the destination, it’s the stories and friendships you collect along the way.
Somewhere down the road, golf found its way back into my life. I hadn’t touched a club in years, but one day I picked it up again and something clicked. I was hooked. And the deeper I fell in, the more I realized how much golf reminds me of surfing. Same love of the outdoors. Same meditative rhythm. Same fluid motions. Same obsessive drive to get better. Golf, like surfing, is a lifelong pursuit. A beautiful, humbling obsession that always keeps you coming back for more. No two rounds are ever the same, much like no two waves are ever the same. You show up, tune in, and just try to flow with whatever comes your way.
It’s never perfect. And that’s kind of the point.

Torrey Pines
I don't have many photos of me golfing (thankfully). This shot is from a Friday morning round at Torrey in 2022 maybe? I brought a film cam and my friend Jeremy snapped this shot of me on the tee of the infamous hole #3 on the South Course.
I was "working from home" that morning, and was in a meeting at the time, hence the earbuds. Sums up my thoughts on Friday morning meetings…
Chivo
A few years back, I made the trip down to Salina Cruz with a crew of close friends. We scored perfect waves, surfed until our arms fell off, and washed it all down with some amazing tacos and cervezas.
I think there were 8 of us sleeping in the same tiny room, laughing the night away, and I wouldn't change a thing. We still talk about how much fun that trip was. We gotta go back...
