Details Make the Difference

Details are what separate a great shoe from a good one. You need to put as much thought into engineering the fit, comfort, and function of a shoe as you do into the aesthetic styling. Maybe even more so...

Every single element of our shoes has been intentionally chosen to create the most comfortable footwear you can walk a course in. We built everything from ground up, beginning with the foundation of fit - a custom developed shoe last. From there, we focused on purpose-driven construction, adding strategic padding packages in key areas, and making sure every stitch serves a purpose.

We searched out the most comfortable insole we could find, layered in midsole foam for added support, and engineered our outsoles with 360° traction to keep you steady in any terrain.

Most importantly (in our humble opinion) we use premium, sustainable materials wherever possible.

We’ve spent the last 18 months prototyping, testing, and refining every detail to make something we’re genuinely proud of.

Here’s a closer look at some of the key features that set our shoes apart.

Design

Good design is quiet.

Simple. Timeless. Classic.

The design philosophy behind our first collection is simple:

clean, wearable styles upgraded with modern technology.

An athletically engineered frame hidden beneath a vintage-inspired silhouette, all wrapped in sustainable materials.

Built for superior comfort, performance, and durability - on or off the course.

Fit

It all begins with good fit.

Our Signature Last

The last is the foundation of a shoe. Without a good last, you will never have a good fit.

We developed a custom last to ensure that our shoes are built on the best possible platform for a comfortable fit.

We started with an athletic last, and made some tweaks to improve it for the course. Last adjustment is a subtle artform, but there is one main area that sets seagrass apart from the competition - the toe box.

The Narrow Toe Box Problem

Most golf shoes, and honestly a lot of shoes in general, are built with a narrow, pointy toe shape. Narrow toe boxes can cause all kinds of problems because they don’t match the natural shape or movement of a human foot.

Your toes are meant to move and spread out as you walk, helping with balance and support. Narrow shoes force them into unnatural positions. This can lead to injuries and throw off your natural alignment.

Issues can vary from minor inconveniences like blisters and calluses, to long-term injuries such as bunions and plantar fasciitis.

Beyond that, when your toes are cramped, the rest of your body tries to compensate, putting additional strain on your knees, hips, and lower back.

Definitely not ideal for golf.

Benefits of a Wider Toe Box

Wider toe boxes let your foot sit in a more natural position, easing stress on the joints, muscles, and tendons throughout your lower body.

They allow your toes to spread out naturally, helping to improve balance, stability, and power transfer.

That means less fatigue and more comfort not just during your round, but throughout the rest of your day.

Ultimately, it just feels better. Your foot can relax and move the way it’s meant to, instead of being crammed into something tight and unnatural.

Increased Stability

A wider toe box also provides a more stable platform, helping you transfer power more efficiently through your golf swing. It increases the distribution of force, making your movements more balanced and efficient.

Think about it like this:

If someone asked you to do a pushup, would you plant your hands on the ground with your fingers squeezed tightly together?

Or would you spread your fingers out wide to create a solid, stable base that gives you better control and strength?

It’s the same idea with your toes.

Comfort

Comfort is King

Materials That Move With You

We chose to use soft, flexible materials designed to move with you throughout your day.

Our light-weight textiles are made from 100% recycled ocean-bound plastic, combining softness, durability, and sustainability.

Our ethically sourced full grain leather strikes the perfect balance of structure, flexibility, and breathability.

Full grain leather is naturally tough and built to last. Over time, it molds to the shape of your foot while developing a unique patina, making each pair truly one-of-a-kind.

Strategic Padding

Every Seagrass shoe is lined with a thin layer of foam padding throughout the upper, creating a soft, welcoming fit right out of the box. This internal cushioning layer helps to reduce pressure points and friction, minimizing hot spots, blisters, and chafing, especially during longer walks or rounds.

Additional padding in the tongue helps distribute lace pressure evenly across the top of your foot, improving lockdown without creating discomfort.

Most importantly, we have added thick layers of padding around the collar, protecting your ankles and gently locking in your heel for a more secure and comfortable fit.

Keeping your feet feeling fresh all day.
